Victor Valdes' move to Bestikas from Manchester United has fallen through, according to widespread reports.
The BBC, Sport and AS all report that Valdes had been due to fly to Turkey to complete the deal on Sunday but Besiktas then attempted to change the terms of the contract and the former Barcelona goalkeeper backed out of the move.
Valdes, 33, has been told he has no future at Old Trafford after apparently refusing to play for the reserve team last season.
However, AS says the Spaniard, who made two appearances for United's first team after signing on a free transfer in January, would like to remain in England.
Sport says Valdes may try to revive his career at United, with David De Gea reportedly close to securing a move to Real Madrid before the close of the transfer window.
