Bournemouth are aiming to beat several Premier League rivals to the signing of former Wolves star Bakary Sako, sources say
A host of clubs have been chasing Sako, who is a free agent after turning down a new deal at Wolves.
The likes of Leicester City, Aston Villa, West Brom and Everton have shown an interest in Sako, but sources say Bournemouth are aiming to steal a march in their rivals as they prepare to launch a bid for the Mali international.
Sako was one of the stars in the Championship last season Wolves just missed out reaching the playoffs.
A number of clubs from abroad have been chasing the 27-year-old, but Sako has set his sights on a move to the Premier League and he is keen to resolve his future as soon as possible.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is an admirer of Sako and feels he would prove a valuable addition to his attacking options as he prepares his side for life in the top-flight next season.
