West Bromich Albion defender Jonas Olsson is set to sign a new deal at the club, a source close to the player has told ESPN FC.
Olsson's current deal at The Hawthorns expires in the summer, meaning the 32-year-old Sweden international could leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.
However, West Brom are keen to keep hold of Olsson and opened talks with him about a new deal last month.
A source told ESPN FC the negotiations have progressed well, and the club are hopeful that Olsson will pledge his future to them.
He joined West Brom from NEC Nijmegen in summer 2008 and has gone on to establish himself as a key member of the side, making over 220 appearances.
