Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel is on the verge of a move to Fenerbahce, sources have told ESPN FC.
Fenerbahce have tabled an offer of €7 million (£5.5m) for the defender and Liverpool have accepted the bid with Skrtel well down the pecking order in Jurgen Klopp's plans.
Skrtel, 31, only started four games for Liverpool after January following an injury picked up in a defeat to Watford in December.
And the centre-back found himself behind Dejan Lovren and Mamadou Sakho in Klopp's plans in the second half of last season, with veteran Kolo Toure even ahead of him in the pecking order.
The summer arrival of Cameroon defender Joel Matip from Schalke has increased competition for places in Klopp's defence and Liverpool are now willing to let Skrtel leave after eight years at Anfield.
Sources told ESPN FC in April that Skrtel was considering leaving Liverpool this summer after growing frustrated with his lack of first-team action.
A number of clubs have expressed an interest in Skrtel, but Fenerbahce are in pole position to land the experienced defender.
Skrtel is currently captaining Slovakia at Euro 2016 and is expected to undergo a medical at Fenerbahce once his involvement in the competition is over.
