Kieran Richardson and Nigel Reo-Coker join Tony Adams' Granada on trial

Granada have announced that caretaker manager Tony Adams has brought former Premier League stars Kieran Richardson and Nigel Reo-Coker to the club on trial.

The two players, who are free agents, will train with the Liga strugglers as Adams looks to galvanise a push to safety in the closing weeks of the season.

Defender Richardson, who has played for Manchester United, Sunderland, Fulham and Aston Villa, was most recently at Championship club Cardiff City.

Midfielder Reo-Coker came through the ranks at Wimbledon and went on to play for clubs including West Ham, Villa and Bolton, with his most recent spell with MLS outfit Montreal Impact.

Arsenal legend Adams was appointed at Granada as successor to Lucas Alcaraz, whose third spell in charge of the club came to an end following the recent defeat to Valencia.

They are in 19th place, seven points from safety with seven games remaining, and former England defender Adams said: "I will try to win every game and try some things in training to liven up the team as we try to achieve a miracle."
