Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando set the MLS record for career saves on Wednesday night, adding to his list of league honors.
Rimando, 37, already holds the record for most wins, which he set last year with his 181st. He also holds the mark for most starts, minutes and clean sheets.
And the U.S. international added to his record haul in the 2-1 win against New York City FC, scooping up a soft shot from Tommy McNamara in the 15th minute.

The save was the 1,475th in Rimando's 18-year MLS career, putting him past Kevin Hartman's previous record.
"You play as long as I've been playing those records are going to come," Rimando said. "It's special to me, but the three points are the most important right now."
