Middlesbrough are closing in on a loan move for Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.
Ojo, who made two appearances for Liverpool last season, has not featured for them in preseason and Ryan Kent has moved ahead of him in Jurgen Klopp's plans.
A number of Premier League and Championship clubs have made enquiries about a loan deal for Ojo, who helped England win the Under-20 World Cup this summer.
Liverpool would prefer him to go to the Championship, where he is more likely to get regular first-team football, and sources said he was favouring a move to Middlesbrough.
Boro are looking to return to the Premier League after relegation last season and are hopeful of finalising a deal for Ojo.
