Sources: Man Utd continuing Wan-Bissaka talks

Manchester United are continuing talks with Crystal Palace over of the signing of defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka, while Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes remains on their radar, sources have told ESPN FC.

United are searching for a breakthrough in talks over Wan-Bissaka as Palace hold out for a fee in excess of £50 million. The 21-year-old is manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's top target as he looks in bring in a new right-back this summer, although the club are still monitoring Paris Saint-Germain full-back Thomas Meunier.

- When does the transfer window close?

The Belgium international, 27, is seen as an alternative to Wan-Bissaka, who is set to return from the Under-21 European Championship this week after England's early exit.

Solskjaer's squad return to preseason training at Carrington on Monday before flying to Australia for the first leg of the summer tour on July 7.

United are willing to match Wan-Bissaka's valuation, but Crystal Palace are keen to negotiate a deal that will see them receive a large portion of the fee up front rather than in performance-related bonuses.

Matteo Darmian will be allowed to leave Old Trafford to make room for another right-back and Juventus have joined Valencia in registering interest in the Italian.

Fernandes is on a list of midfield targets that also includes Sean Longstaff, Saul Niguez and Youri Tielemans. The Portugal international, who is on holiday in Dubai, is keen on a move to the Premier League after scoring 31 goals in 50 games last season. Manchester City have dropped out of the race to sign the 24-year-old, who has also been linked with Liverpool and Tottenham.

Solskjaer is looking for at least one new midfielder after losing Ander Herrera on a free transfer.

Meanwhile, United are yet to receive a suitable offer from Inter Milan for striker Romelu Lukaku. The Serie A side have suggested including players in a potential deal but so far options including Mauro Icardi and Radja Nainggolan have been rejected. United are holding out for a fee of £80m.
