MEXICO CITY -- Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa is on the list of possible replacements after Club America announced the sale of Agustin Marchesin on Wednesday.
Marchesin, 31, won the 2018 Apertura with America and is set to replace Iker Casillas, who suffered a heart attack during training last May, at Porto.

America coach Miguel Herrera told ESPN on Monday that Ochoa would be an ideal replacement for Marchesin, who became a firm fan favorite in his time at the club and broke into tears after a meeting with Herrera on Tuesday.
"There are various names. Of course we have [Ochoa's] name [on the list], he's a very appealing guy, of course. I know him well, we know what he can give us, [he's] an important player for our league and of course for America fans as well," Herrera said on ESPN AM.
Ochoa made over 200 appearances for Club America from 2004-2011 before making his move to Europe, where he had stints in La Liga and Ligue 1.
However, sources told ESPN earlier this summer that Standard Liege keeper Ochoa's goal was to remain in Europe this summer and that is unlikely to have changed.
America has already been linked in the Mexican media with names such as River Plate's Franco Armani, Boca Juniors' Esteban Andrade, Sao Paulo's Tiago Volpi and Independiente's Martin Campana, as well as Alianza Lima's Pedro Gallese and Real Sociedad's Geronimo Rulli.
