LIVE Transfer Talk: Chelsea offer Willian to Arsenal with Aubameyang departure looming

The winter transfer window is closed, but now it's time to look ahead to the summer! Here are the new rumours floating around Europe's big leagues and beyond.

TOP STORY: Arsenal offered Willian by Chelsea

Arsenal could be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements should Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang move on when the 2019-20 season comes to a conclusion, and The Sun is reporting Chelsea have offered Willian, who is a free agent at the end of the campaign, to their London rivals.

However, there's a problem: the Brazilian's wages. Willian is reportedly looking for £120,000 a week and a three-year deal, which is deemed too much by the Arsenal board, particularly given the player turns 32 in August.

Willian's agent could be the key protagonist in the move as Kia Joorabchian also represents Edu, Arsenal's technical director, and Cedric Soares, who joined the club on loan.

And now Joorabchian is looking to solve a problem that would suit both player and club, though Arsenal are not the only club interested. Liverpool and Inter Milan are also said to have expressed an interest, though it is believed Willian would favour staying in London.

21.57 BST: Le10 Sport writes that Everton have tabled a €35m offer for Lille centre-back Gabriel, but that the 22-year-old is waiting for bids from the likes of Chelsea, and the report also states that Leicester are expected to submit a proposal that would exceed the Toffees' figures.

21.20 BST: Inter are preparing to fortify their midfield this summer, and according to Corriere dello Sport, they're prepared to duel with Juventus over Brescia's 19-year-old, €50m-rated Sandro Tonali, with 23-year-old Fiorentina man Gaetano Castrovilli and Barcelona's Arturo Vidal fallback options.

20.43 BST: The likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid have been linked with move for Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek for the better part of a year now, but Le10 Sport reports that Everton and Newcastle have emerged as surprise contenders for the 23-year-old's signature.

20.06 BST: RB Leipzig's highly sought-after centre-back Dayot Upamecano has agreed to join Bayern Munich, according to Bild, but the German giants are likely to seek to negotiate a fee with the Red Bull-backed club rather than paying the 21-year-old's €60m release clause.

19.29 BST: West Ham are preparing for a squad overhaul this summer, and the man who could fund that rebuild is Declan Rice, who the Hammers are said to value at £70m. According to the Telegraph, the East London club is fearful that their position in the market could invite a bid from Chelsea, where the 21-year-old midfielder spent his formative years, or Manchester United, who've also held interest in the England international.

18.52 BST: Mundo Deportivo writes that Everton lead Arsenal, Chelsea and Wolves in the race for Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez, with Carlo Ancelotti's outfit said to have offered the 28-year-old a four-year contract, as Los Blancos prepare to part with the Colombia international for a fee of €40m.

18.15 BST: Tigres defender Carlos Salcedo has encouraged his Mexico teammate Jesus "Tecatito" Corona to jump at the chance to move from Porto to Inter Milan if it comes about when the transfer market opens up, according to an interview with ESPN Mexico.

17.38 BST: Barcelona have grandiose plans to rebuild their squad this summer but reportedly lack the financial might to land their most ambitious targets, and now the Telegraph reports that the Catalan club have informed rival clubs that Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele are available as part of any cash-plus-player offers.

17.01 BST: On Friday, Ed Woodward said it is unlikely to be "business as usual" for Manchester United in the transfer market following the coronavirus crisis and hinted that the days of £100 million deals may be over.

Julien Laurens explains why Woodward's comments were clever and breaks down why United won't be making any big moves this summer.

16.32 BST: Barcelona have given Juventus permission to talk to midfielder Arthur Melo, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Sources close to Arthur have told ESPN that he has no intention of leaving. However, Barca are open to offers for all of their players except Lionel Messi, Frenkie de Jong and Marc-Andre ter Stegen as they attempt to minimise the consequences of the coronavirus crisis and fund a move for Neymar or Lautaro Martinez.

Mundo Deportivo report that, as a show of faith, Barca have told Juve they can open negotiations with Arthur.

There is no mention of a deal being agreed between the two clubs, but a possible swap deal involving Miralem Pjanic has been mooted previously.

15.34 BST: Mesut Ozil's future at Arsenal looks increasingly uncertain with the club yet to offer an extension on his contract which expires in 2021, sources have told ESPN.

After a tough time under Unai Emery in which Ozil nearly left the club, the 31-year-old enjoyed a successful second-half of the season under Mikel Arteta.

However, ESPN understands that the club hierarchy have not changed their position on wanting him to leave North London.

The midfielder's £350,000-a-week wage has long been a source of contention within the club with Arsenal shattering its wage structures for the former Germany international.

However, Ozil has not agitated to leave and even previously expressed an interest in staying beyond 2021 but given he turns 32 in October, there are doubts over whether he will remain part of Arteta's long-term plans.

14.41 BST: Mauro Icardi's future has been the subject of intense speculation over the past few weeks with his loan spell with Paris Saint-Germain due to end this summer.

The French champions have the option to buy the Argentina international for around €70m, which must be taken up by the end of May.

According to the lawyer of Mauro Icardi's agent and wife Wanda Nara, Elio Letterio Pino, Icardi wants to stay in Paris.

"Leonardo knew what Mauro [Icardi] could do and it became reality," Pino told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli. "He is a champion -- very strong. Sometimes, he has been a substitute. However, there are 18 top players at PSG -- Edinson Cavani among them. Leonardo wanted to buy him and I hope that he will. Mauro is liked by everyone. When you know him, you love him as a player and as a man. Now, and out of respect for PSG, Mauro wants to stay in Paris. If PSG do not buy him, Wanda will know the right decision to make with Inter Milan."

Icardi, who turned 27 in February, enjoyed a fast start to life at Parc des Princes before the goals dried up at the start of 2020.

14.03 BST: With Newcastle United in the spotlight for a possible takeover and rumours of a £100m transfer budget, Gab Marcotti breaks down the financial fair play rules the club needs to follow after it is sold

13.26 BST: Gonzalo Higuain will honour his contract with Juventus, according his father Jorge.

Reports in Italy claimed the 32-year-old forward was considering remaining in his native Argentina and not returning to Italy.

Higuain was allowed to return to Argentina during the lockdown in Italy to be close to his cancer-stricken mother.

The former Real Madrid star is tied to Juventus until June 2021.

"Not everything that is being said is true," Jorge Higuain told Argentinian outlet Imneuquen.

"Gonzalo will remain at Juventus because he still has one year and a half left in his contract. He will honour it and complete it. After that he will take the decision he wants because he will be able to make a a choice. That is the reality and what will happen. Right now, the idea of leaving the club is not in his mind because he loves it and the people there love him."

12.54 BST: According to Le 10 Sport, Liverpool want Lille pair Victor Osimhen and Boubakary Soumare.

The Reds face competition from Real Madrid for the midfielder, while the attacker has had contact with the Premier League giants with a view to an eventual move.

Le 10 claim that Liverpool will make a big offer for Nigeria international Osimhen in the coming weeks as he is on Jurgen Klopp's shortlist, while the German also wants Soumare.

The 21-year-old France youth international rejected a move to Newcastle United in January -- despite a handsome offer for LOSC -- with Liverpool or Manchester United in mind.

Le 10 say that Real have now joined the Anfield outfit in targeting Soumare and that Lille president Gerard Lopez already has a number of solid offers.

12.21 BST: Federico Bernardeschi is not leaving Juventus any time soon, not even for Barcelona, his agent Giuseppe Bozzo has said.

The striker has been linked with a move away from Juventus with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid among the clubs interested in his services.

"I haven't met any other clubs executives," Bozzo told Calciomercato.

In the winter transfer window, Barca reportedly offered Ivan Rakitic in a swap deal that would see Bernardeschi go to Camp Nou.

"Federico gets annoyed when reading about speculation that he could leave," Bozzo said.

"He knows two things. First, that especially around this time, there is an abundance of transfer media speculation. Secondly, he has no intention of leaving Juve. Does anyone truly believe that Juve spent €40m to sign him [from Fiorentina], beating off opposition from other clubs and now they think they have made a mistake? I think the issue is another."

Bernardeschi, 26, is in his third season at Juventus.

The Italy international has made 18 league appearances for the Bianconeri this season and is tied to the Turin outfit until June 2022.

11.54 BST: The coronavirus pandemic is having a major impact on the transfer market and Diario AS have reported that one of those affected could be Dani Ceballos.

The Real Madrid midfielder joined Arsenal on a season-long loan deal in a bid for more playing time ahead of Euro 2020, which has now postponed until 2021.

AS suggest that makes another loan spell next season more likely, although they say a decision is yet to be made on the 23-year-old's future.

Ceballos has a contract at the Bernabeu until 2023 and the newspaper claims that Real Madrid would not consider a sale for a figure below €50m.

11.18 BST: Manchester City's Bernardo Silva has said he is not afraid to resume playing in the Premier League.

Speaking during an Instagram live chat with Portuguese channel TVi24, the Portugal international said that he trusted the people making the decision on when to return to play.

"I'm honestly not afraid because I think that the people that have taken this decisions are intelligent and think about people when making these decisions. The most important thing is the safety of people and their health, but if you can find a way to get things back up, that's fine."

Silva, who has a long-term contract with City, said he would like to play in La Liga one day.

"I would like to play one day in Spain, it's a league that fascinates me. When I was young, I watched the Premier League and the Spanish league as the best in the world. I wouldn't say no if the opportunity arose."

10.36 BST: Chelsea remain interested in Paris Saint-Germain youngster Kays Ruiz-Atil, L'Equipe reports.

However, the 17-year-old and his family are waiting for a concrete sign from the Premier League outfit that they want to go ahead with a move.

Interest from the likes of Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Marseille has fallen away in recent months and Ruiz-Atil, who is out of contract in 2021, wants to be training with a senior side next season.

L'Equipe adds that Ruiz-Atil is likely to be joined by Loic Mbe Soh in making a summer exit from PSG, while Junior Dina Ebimbe could ultimately be loaned out to a fellow Ligue 1 side instead of leaving permanently.

09.59 BST: Everton are close to signing Barcelona's Jean-Clair Todibo for an initial fee of €20 million, according to Diario SPORT.

Barca want €25m for the French centre-back but would be willing to accept Everton's reduced offer if the Premier League side offer the other €5m in performance-related add-ons.

Todibo, 20, is currently on loan at Schalke 04. The German side have an option to make the deal permanent for €25m but the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic mean they will be unable to pay it. They have asked to extend the loan but Barca would prefer a sale as the look to offset their own losses caused by the health crisis.

Everton have made a habit of shopping at Camp Nou in recent seasons. If they were to sign Todibo, the defender would follow Lucas Digne, Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina to Goodison Park.

09.25 BST: Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey's future has been in the spotlight -- and Paris Saint-Germain are the latest club to be linked to the Ghana international.

RMC Sport reports that the 26-year-old midfielder's €50m release clause would be well within PSG's means.

Both Arsenal and Manchester United have reportedly expressed an interest in Partey, although his agents JJ Sports have described reports of talks with the Gunners as "totally false."

Atletico are keen for Partey to extend his contract in Madrid and double his release clause to €100m, but talks are yet to make any progress.

08.42 BST: Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has told TyC Sports he hasn't decided on his future with his current deal ending in June 2021.

"Right now I'm not thinking of what to do," said Aguero, who is the foreign player with the most goals in Premier League history and City's all-time top scorer.

"With this [coronavirus pandemic], every club is having issues... I want to continue to make history in the Premier League."

Aguero, who has previously stated his desire to return to Independiente in his native Argentina, also said that he knows he must win a Champions League is he is to have a real chance of winning a Ballon d'Or.

"Every player wants to win the Ballon d'Or but the Champions (League) influences that a lot," he said. "Last season was my best. We won four titles but we didn't have luck there [Champions League].

"I was not even nominated in the top 10 [of the Ballon d'Or] and that's because you need to do more there [Champions League]. I consider myself among the best strikers in the world."

08.00 BST: Borussia Dortmund are not willing to discuss a possible transfer of Jadon Sancho, at least not in public.

Sources told ESPN last month that Manchester United lead the race to sign the England international, although Old Trafford chief Ed Woodward's recent comments on a crashing transfer market seemed to suggest that the Red Devils might not be willing to pay the full €130m asking price for Sancho.

Regardless of the news from England, Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has now told Sport 1 that there is nothing new to report.

He said: "All clubs currently are focused on the short-term, also in England! I can't and I don't want to go out on a limb with any prognosis because the [coronavirus] situation changes on a daily basis currently. We'll see what happens.

"We have a long-term contract with Jadon Sancho. Nothing will change in that regard now. We are totally relaxed.

"I understand all the media interest, but those issues currently don't have top priority. The main questions right now are: What will be? When will play again?"

PAPER TALK (Nick Judd): Arsenal eyeing Umtiti move

Mikel Arteta is looking to sign Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti in an effort to shore up his defence for the 2020-21 season, and Sport is suggesting that his chances have been boosted after Napoli dropped out of the race.

Umtiti has been mainly used as a backup by Quique Setien this season and has made just nine starts. And Barca, with some big transfer plans of their own this summer, are willing to sell the France international for the right price.

Napoli were also keen to sign him, but the coronavirus pandemic has limited their transfer funds. The same could be said for many clubs, and Arsenal's hopes of landing the 26-year-old may depend on whether or not the Gunners finish in a Champions League place.

Arteta has made no secret of making his defence the area he is most keen to strengthen and was keen to land Umtiti on loan in January but a deal couldn't be agreed.

Van de Beek considers next move. Manchester United?

Ajax midfielder Donny Van de Beek has time to plot his next move following the early termination of the Eredivisie, and Mundo Deportivo believes Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus lead the way.

Van de Beek has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid, particular by the Dutch press, but the player himself may question that move when he takes into consideration Real's courting of Paul Pogba, and their recent interest in Eduardo Camavinga. And that's not including the impressive form of their own stars, including Martin Odegaard, who's currently on loan at Real Sociedad, and who could come back to find new opportunities under Zinedine Zidane.

Manchester United could be a more attractive proposition for Van de Beek in terms of game time, and United could have the funds -- he would likely cost around €50 million -- if Pogba decides to leave for Madrid, or PSG, as recently suggested by multiple sources.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would love to partner Van de Beek with Bruno Fernandes in a new-look midfield, but he may face competition from Juventus, who are also said to be keen on the 23-year-old.

Tap-ins

-- Everton are reportedly holding talks with Barcelona over the signing of young centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo, according to the Daily Mail. The 20-year-old was a target for the Toffees in January, but he joined Schalke on loan for the rest of the season instead. Now, though, Everton believe they can land the French U20 international on a permanent deal for around £17.4m.

-- AC Milan are preparing for life after Zlatan Ibrahimovic by enquiring about Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic, reports Calciomercato. The Rossoneri spent time chatting to the striker in January and it is reported he likes it in the Italian capital. Moreover, both he and Ante Rebic -- on loan at the San Siro from Eintracht Frankfurt -- are keen to reunite after the duo played together at Frankfurt.
