On day 8 of keep Euro, Ukraine kept their hopes alive in an emotionally charged match. They came from a goal down to beat Slovakia 2-1, the winner courtesy a Roman Yaremchuk stunner in the 80th minute.
Austria then put in a solid second-half performance to keep their knockout stage chances alive, while Poland were eliminated from the competition after the matchday. Robert Lewandowski returned to action as a sub but could not prevent a 1-3 loss.
Later, a Kylian Mbappe-less France was held to a 0-0 draw by the Netherlands. Mbappe's absence, who broke his nose in the win over Austria, watched from the sidelines as France couldn't convert a number of chances.
