RALEIGH, N.C. -- North Carolina State says guard Anthony "Cat" Barber has been cleared to play in the postseason after suffering a spasm in his neck muscles.
Team officials said Friday night that Barber is expected to be at full strength for the postseason.
Barber was hurt with 13:26 left in a 77-53 loss to No. 2 Duke in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament quarterfinals when he collided with a screen set by Duke forward Amile Jefferson.
Team officials say the results of a scan of his head and neck were normal.
Barber averages 12.1 points and a team-best 3.8 assists for the Wolfpack (20-13) and had been averaging 16 points during his last 11 games. He scored a career-high 34 in a second-round victory over Pittsburgh.
