VALPARAISO, Ind. -- Iona sophomore guard Deyshonee Much received a legislative relief waiver from the NCAA and played in Sunday's season-opening, 83-58 loss to Valparaiso.
Much scored 12 points on 3-of-11 shooting in 24 minutes against the Crusaders.
He played his freshman season (2013-14) at Buffalo and enrolled at Iona in January.
The 6-foot-5 Much averaged 1.3 points in 6.6 minutes in 22 games for the Bulls as a freshman. He has practiced with the Gaels since his enrollment in the spring 2015 semester.
