Fans of the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers will have an extra incentive to root for their men's and women's basketball teams this season.
On Thursday, the team announced a "We Win, You Win Money Back Guarantee" for its basketball programs. Any fan who purchases a men's or women's basketball season ticket by Nov. 3 will receive a full refund if the teams win a combined 35 regular-season games.
In 2023, the Boise State Broncos football team also had a "We Win, You Win" promotion for their season opener against the UCF Knights, where fans who purchased a special edition ticket would receive a complimentary ticket to the team's game against the North Dakota Fighting Hawks. Had Boise State won, fans would have also received a ticket to their matchup against the San Diego State Aztecs. However, Boise State fell to UCF 18-16.
Coastal Carolina's men's team went 9-22 in 2023-24, while its women's team was 12-21. They play a combined 57 games this season, meaning they'll need a 61.4% win rate for fans to get their money back.
