Veteran welterweight Josh Koscheck will make his Bellator MMA debut on Jan. 29 in a headlining role against Matt Secor in Fresno, California.
Bellator officials announced the matchup on Monday. The Bellator 148 event will take place at Save Mart Center and air on Spike TV.
Additionally, British welterweight Paul Daley (37-13-2) will fight Andy Uhrich (11-5) on the card.
Koscheck (17-10) will make his first appearance outside the UFC since 2004. A contestant on the first season of "The Ultimate Fighter" reality series, Koscheck fought 25 consecutive times in the Octagon, including a title fight against Georges St-Pierre in December 2010.
The 37-year-old opted to sign with Bellator this summer. He enters his new promotion having lost five consecutive fights.
Secor is a 29-year-old welterweight out of New York with a 1-0 record thus far in Bellator. He has also made one appearance for WSOF.
Bellator has expressed interest in eventually promoting a rematch between Koscheck and Daley. The two fought in a UFC title eliminator in May 2010. Koscheck won via unanimous decision. After the bout, Daley, who struggled with Koscheck's wrestling throughout the bout, took a cheap shot at him after the bell. The UFC released Daley from his contract for the late punch.
