          Roy Nelson, Derrick Lewis to fight July 7 in Las Vegas

          A heavyweight bout between UFC veteran Roy Nelson and Derrick Lewis has been added to a UFC Fight Night event July 7 in Las Vegas.

          Lewis announced the bout Friday via social media. The UFC Fight Night card will take place at MGM Grand Garden Arena.

          Lewis (15-4) will take a three-fight win streak into the contest. The Houston native publicly requested a fight against Nelson after his most recent bout, a first-round knockout of Gabriel Gonzaga earlier this month. He is 6-2 overall in the UFC.

          Nelson (21-12) will look to win back-to-back fights for the first time since 2013. The 39-year-old snapped a three-fight skid in February by defeating Jared Rosholt via unanimous decision. Prior to that win, Nelson had gone 1-5 in his previous six appearances.

          A lightweight title fight between Rafael dos Anjos (25-7) and Eddie Alvarez (27-4) will headline UFC Fight Night, which takes place on a Thursday.
