Robbie Lawler-Donald Cerrone rescheduled for UFC 214

A welterweight matchup between former champion Robbie Lawler and Donald Cerrone has been rebooked to UFC 214 on July 29 in Anaheim.

UFC president Dana White told The Los Angeles Times of the rebooking on Sunday. The bout had been scheduled for UFC 213 this week in Las Vegas, but Cerrone was forced to pull out.

This marks the third time the UFC has scheduled a fight between them. It was first booked to UFC 205 last November, but Lawler withdrew. Cerrone pulled out of the July 8 date with what he called a blood infection.

Lawler (27-11), who fights out of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, hasn't fought since he suffered a first-round knockout loss to Tyron Woodley in a July 2016 championship fight.

Cerrone (32-8) is coming off a TKO loss to Jorge Masvidal in January. The Albuquerque, New Mexico-based welterweight had been on a four-fight winning streak before the loss.

UFC 214 features three title fights, including a light heavyweight rematch between Daniel Cormier (19-1) and Jon Jones (22-1).
