BAMMA's lightweight and welterweight champion is headed to Bellator.
Terry Brazier (10-1) has signed a long-term deal with the promotion, sources told ESPN. His debut isn't set yet, sources say.
Brazier won the BAMMA 155-pound title last month when he defeated Rhys McKee via unanimous decision. Brazier is considered one of Europe's brightest young prospects.
Brazier is the latest in a string of European fighters Bellator has signed. The promotion recently announced a commitment to hold more events in the United Kingdom and Ireland and, according to sources, is working on signing 30 to 40 more European fighters.
Brazier joins the likes of James Gallagher, Charlie Ward, Will Fleury, Ryan Scope, Daniel Crawford, Mike Shipman, Aaron Chalmers and Norman Parke as European fighters who have recently inked deals with the promotion.
Following his lightweight title win last month, Brazier told ESPN that he was eyeing a UFC contract, but in the end, Bellator scooped up the British fighter known as "The Dominator."
