Conor McGregor guarantees a victory against Khabib Nurmagomedov in their fight at UFC 229 this coming Saturday. (0:52)

Former two-division champion Conor McGregor returns to the Octagon for the first time in almost two years to face current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday. The fight will be broadcast on pay-per-view starting at 10 p.m. ET.

McGregor is coming off a TKO loss to former boxing pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather in August 2017. His last MMA fight was a TKO victory over Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 on Nov. 12, 2016, at New York's Madison Square Garden. With the victory, McGregor became the first fighter to hold two UFC titles in two different divisions simultaneously (featherweight, lightweight.)

Nurmagomedov hasn't lost a fight in more than 10 years. In his last outing, he defeated Al Iaquinta by unanimous decision at UFC 223 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, to win the lightweight belt.
