Things were looking rather bleak for Stipe Miocic on Saturday night. His face was badly bruised from being beaten by Daniel Cormier for three rounds during their heavyweight championship rematch at UFC 241 in Anaheim, California.
But in Round 4, Miocic seemed to gain some steam, staggering Cormier with stiff shots to the body. When Cormier was visibly weakened late in the round, Miocic managed to finish the fight with blows to the head.
Thirteen months after losing the title to Cormier, Miocic recorded a TKO victory to begin a second title reign.
Other UFC fighters had a lot to say about the win by Miocic, who became just the second fighter to defeat the 40-year-old Cormier.
