UFC Fight Night: Tyron Woodley vs. Gilbert Burns - How to watch and stream, plus full analysis

Tyron Woodley has been out of action since losing the UFC welterweight title nearly 15 months ago. Andrew Hancock for ESPN

Tyron Woodley will step into the Octagon for the first time since he was dethroned as UFC welterweight champion nearly 15 months ago when he faces Gilbert Burns in the main event of UFC Fight Night on May 30, with the fights expected to take place at the promotion's Apex facility in Las Vegas.

The fights will be on ESPN and ESPN+, with the main card starting at 9 p.m. ET, the prelims at 6 p.m.

Woodley (19-4-1) had been unbeaten in his previous seven bouts when he faced Kamaru Usman in March 2019 at UFC 235. Usman controlled the fight from start to finish, winning all five rounds on each judge's scorecard, including a 10-8 round on two of them.

Burns (18-3) has competed four times since that most recent Woodley bout, winning every one. His latest win was a first-round TKO of Demian Maia on March 14.

The location of the fight card is subject to change until May 27, when the Nevada State Athletic Commission is scheduled to formally vote on reopening the state to combat sports. NSAC officials indefinitely suspended all combat sports in mid-March because of the coronavirus pandemic.
