Memphis Grizzlies guard Ben McLemore underwent surgery to repair a non-displaced fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot and is expected to be sidelined for 12 weeks, the team announced Tuesday.
The Grizzlies said McLemore suffered the injury during a pickup game in Los Angeles when he landed on another player's foot.
The team said it expects McLemore to make a full recovery.
McLemore, 24, averaged 8.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 61 games (26 starts) last season for the Sacramento Kings.
He signed a two-year, $10.7 million with the Grizzlies this summer. He became a free agent after the Kings declined to tender a qualifying offer worth just over $5.3 million.
