Celtics point guards Kyrie Irving, Terry Rozier both out vs. Pistons

The Boston Celtics will be without both of their point guards -- Kyrie Irving and Terry Rozier -- in Wednesday's game against the Detroit Pistons.

Irving will miss his second straight game because of a sprained right knee, and Rozier was ruled out with an illness.

Irving suffered the injury this past weekend against the LA Clippers and has been listed as day-to-day. The All-Star point guard missed Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers, but Boston held on for a 112-109 victory.

The Celtics are 8-2 in games that Irving has missed this season, and they are 28-19 in games that he has played.

Irving is averaging 23.6 points, 6.9 assists and 4.9 rebounds this season for the Celtics (36-21), who are tied with the Sixers for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
