Free agent Jae Crowder has agreed to a three-year deal with the Phoenix Suns that is worth approximately $30 million, according to multiple media reports Saturday.
Crowder, 30, was a key postseason contributor for the Miami Heat on their run to the NBA Finals in 2020. He became an unrestricted free agent after completing the last season of a five-year, $35 million contract he signed with the Boston Celtics in 2015.
A 6-foot-6, 235-pound forward, Crowder provided strong defense off the bench while posting playoff averages of 12.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists.
He landed in Miami as part of a six-player trade in February in which the Memphis Grizzlies dealt him, Andre Iguodala and Solomon Hill in exchange for Dion Waiters, Justise Winslow and James Johnson.
The Heat were Crowder's sixth team after stints with the Dallas Mavericks, Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Utah Jazz and Grizzlies.
