Perth Wildcats have announced that they will release Corey Webster from his contract with the club, effective immediately.
Webster originally signed a two-year deal with the Wildcats in March, but has expressed the desire to pursue his career overseas. The Wildcats have agreed to his request and are now in the hunt for replacement imports.
"It is disappointing to lose a key signing like Corey, but we're thankful to have reached this decision now, when we have the time to make the necessary changes," said Perth Wildcats CEO Troy Georgiu.
"With Corey released from his contract, we now have three roster spots remaining, which can all be filled by import players if required."
