Eddie Lacy a no-go for pro day

Former Alabama running back Eddie Lacy will not participate in the Crimson Tide's pro day on Wednesday because of lingering tightness in his hamstring, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Lacy is expected to work out at a later date to be determined.

The hamstring injury also kept Lacy out of last month's NFL scouting combine.

He originally strained the hamstring while running the 40-yard dash in a mock combine event at IMG a week before the combine. An MRI revealed he suffered a small tear in some tissue around the hamstring.

The 6-foot, 219-pound Lacy rushed for 1,322 yards and 17 touchdowns for Alabama this past season.

Information from ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter and The Associated Press was used in this report.
