ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Philadelphia Eagles rookie running back Miles Sanders gave the team just the spark it needed with a 65-yard rushing touchdown early in the second half to build a 17-7 lead over the Buffalo Bills.
Eagles coach Doug Pederson gets credit for the play design. He used a rare two-back look, with Jordan Howard hitting the hole first to throw a block and create a seam for Sanders, who broke loose into the open field and outran the Bills' defense.

Sanders, who scored his first rushing touchdown of the season, reached a high speed of 20.9 miles per hour on the run, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. Sanders' TD run marked the second-highest max speed by an Eagles player on a touchdown this season (DeSean Jackson, 21.4 mph).
