The pomp and circumstances of the Olympic Games took place Friday morning (primetime in Tokyo). It was highlight by Naomi Osaka lighting the Olympic torch.

Olympics schedule of events (All time ET)

7:30 p.m.: Rowing.

8 p.m.: Badminton (group play).

8 p.m.: Beach Volleyball (men/women prelim matches).

8 p.m.: Fencing (men's sabre/women's epee prelims).

8:15 p.m.: Archery (mixed team prelims).

8:30 p.m.: Field Hockey -- Japan vs. Australia (men's preliminary pool play).

9 p.m.: Field Hockey -- New Zealand vs. India (men's preliminary pool play).

9 p.m.: Gymnastics (men's qualifying).

9 p.m.: Softball (opening round).

9:15 p.m.: 3X3 basketball (men/women pool play).

10 p.m.: Cycling (men's road race) -- Medal event.

10 p.m.: Boxing.

10 p.m.: Tennis.

10:45 p.m.: Field Hockey -- Netherlands vs. Belgium (men's preliminary pool play).

11:15 p.m.: Field Hockey -- Argentina vs. Spain (men's preliminary pool play).

Early Saturday at the Olympics

1 a.m.: Water Polo

3:30 a.m.: Football

4 a.m.: Equestrian
