Gregor Townsend doesn't seem keen to rest on his laurels following an impressive start to life as Scotland coach.
Fresh from overseeing a November campaign that included a record win over Australia -- the second victory of his short tenure against the Wallabies -- and narrow defeat to New Zealand, Townsend spent time with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola Monday.
The Scotland boss has spoken highly in the past of Guardiola, whose side are currently eight points clear at the top of the Premier League and assured of their progress to the last 16 of the Champions League.
And as City prepared to depart for the Ukraine to face Shakhtar Donetsk Wednesday, he paid a visit to their training complex.

Townsend previously visited Guardiola when he was coach of Barcelona and he told the BBC in October that he had been impressed with the defensive work ethic of his players.
"I believe people watch Guardiola's attack more than his defence," he said. "But his teams at Barcelona had a rule to win back the ball. They started at seven seconds, and then it went down to three seconds."
The Scotland boss is not the only rugby figure to have learned from the Catalan coach.
England coach Eddie Jones -- who has visited a number of Premier League clubs since arriving at Twickenham -- spent time with Guardiola during his spell at Bayern Munich.
"He [Guardiola] has got a bit of an interest in rugby," Jones said. "When I met him at Bayern Munich he'd studied the game and knew a bit about it. He studies a lot of different sports, as most of us do."
