South Carolina Gamecocks junior forward Aliyah Boston headlines the five-player Wooden Award All-American Team, the members of which are also finalists for the 2022 John R. Wooden Award Presented by Wendy's.
Boston, whose Gamecocks take on Louisville on Friday (7 p.m., ESPN) in the national semifinal of the 2022 NCAA women's basketball tournament, was featured on the list alongside the Iowa Hawkeyes' Caitlin Clark, the Michigan Wolverines' Naz Hillmon, the Kentucky Wildcats' Rhyne Howard and the Baylor Lady Bears' NaLyssa Smith.
The winner of the 2022 Wooden Award -- given annually to the top player in women's and men's college basketball -- will be announced in April following the Final Four.
Averaging 16.8 points and 12.2 rebounds per game, Boston recorded 27 consecutive double-doubles over the course of the season, propelling the Gamecocks to their fourth Final Four appearance and second in a row. She was tabbed this season's SEC Player of the Year and was named conference defensive player of the year three times.
Clark, a sophomore guard, took home 2022 Big Ten Player of the Year and is set to become the first women's Division I player to lead the country in both scoring (27.0 PPG) and assists (8.0 APG). The Hawkeyes were upset by Creighton in the second round.
A two-time SEC player of the year, Howard led the Wildcats to a surprise SEC tournament title before they lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament to Princeton. The senior guard averaged 20.5 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists on the season.
Hillmon, a senior forward, ended her career in Ann Arbor as the first men's or women's basketball player in school history to finish with 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. The 2021 Big Ten Player of the Year averaged 21.0 points and 9.6 rebounds per game this season, which concluded Monday with Michigan's loss to Louisville in the Elite Eight.
Smith, a senior forward and a two-time Big 12 player of the year, averaged 22.1 points and 11.5 rebounds per game for Baylor, which fell in the second round of the tournament to South Dakota. She won the 2021 Wade Trophy as a junior.
Howard, Smith and Hillmon are all expected to be selected in the 2022 WNBA draft next month.
