Alvin Pasaol and Santi Santillan headline 15 players invited by Barangay Ginebra for individual workouts ahead of next month's PBA Rookie Draft, a source told ESPN5.com
The source said that the invitees, led by the duo and other projected first- and second-rounders, have been divided into guards, bigs and wings in scheduled workouts that start Monday.
Also among those to receive invites are Jerrick Ahanmisi, Aljun Melecio, Larry Muyang and Ben Adamos, according to the source.
Santillan and Pasaol are projected to go at No. 8 and No. 9 in the latest version of ESPN5.com's Season 46 mock draft, while Muyang is predicted to go at No. 10. Ahanmisi, Adamos and Melecio, meanwhile, are all seen as second-rounders in the same list.
The Gin Kings will pick 12th and last in the first round and 24th in the second.
Ginebra's scheduled workouts with rookies come after the PBA scrapped the Draft Combine due to COVID-19 concerns. The league had earlier allowed teams to bring in draft applicants in lieu of the event.
The Gin Kings have had a quiet offseason so far, adding MJ Ayaay and re-signing Greg Slaughter to a new contract two months before the tentative season opener.
