TNT Tropang Giga nab no. 4 pick in three-team trade with NLEX, Blackwater

The TNT Tropang Giga acquired the NLEX Road Warriors' fourth overall pick on Thursday for the upcoming Season 46 Draft through a three-team swap that also involved the Blackwater Bossing. The deal was already approved by the league's trade committee.

In exchange for their fourth pick, the Road Warriors will acquire Roi Sumang and Don Trollano, and last year's number two pick Maurice Shaw from Blackwater, along with a 2022 second rounder.

The Bossing then sent the no. 4 pick to TNT in exchange for Simon Enciso and David Semerad, along with the Tropang Giga's 2023 first round and 2024 second round pick.

The trade comes after coach Yeng Guiao's pronouncements on Wednesday's episode of The Game, where he hinted that there were "lots of things happening" ahead of the Draft on Sunday, Mar. 14.

While talking about the contest that the team launched urging its fans to correctly guess its selections for the third and fourth picks, Guiao added something else.

"But the draft is going to take place on Sunday. I like to probably give a heads-up to our fans that there's a lot of things that's going to happen from tonight until probably Saturday," mentioned Guiao.

In the latest ESPN5.com mock draft, Calvin Oftana and Larry Muyang were pegged to go to the Road Warriors, but Fil-Am Mikey Williams might change the course of selection and go to TNT.

In a previous interview, TNT mentor Chot Reyes said that he hoped that the team would move up in the draft.

"Unfortunately, we don't have a pick in the first or second round. But, hopefully we find a deal somewhere, very slim, but we're not closing our doors. But it is very interesting. I really love to get a chance," Reyes said last Feb. 25.
