Terrafirma Dyip sign no. 1 overall pick Joshua Munzon to three-year deal

The Terrafirma Dyip signed top overall selection Joshua Munzon to a maximum three-year deal on Friday, the latest number one choice to play for the franchise.

Munzon signed the contract in the presence of PBA vice-chairman and team governor Bobby Rosales in the team's office in Makati.

"[We're] confident of his abilities," Rosales told ESPN5, calling the top pick "sincere, feet planted to the ground. We got what we were looking for."

The Fil-Am guard was the second rookie to be signed to a contract by the Dyip. Eighth overall selection James Laput was inked on Thursday, also for a three-year deal.

"I'm excited to officially be a part of the Terrafirma family and a part of the league," he said in a short message.

According to Rosales, the Dyip's four other draftees - Dhon Reverente, Michael Javelosa, Immanuel Custodio, and Terrence Tumalip - have not been signed yet.
