The much-anticipated matchup between top high school prospects Jalen Green and Kai Sotto happened when the FilAm Sports USA squad took on the Ateneo Blue Eaglets in the NBTC National Finals.
Heading into this tournament, there was a lot of hype surrounding Green who is No. 2 in the ESPN 60 recruiting rankings for the Class of 2020 out of San Joaquin Memorial in California.
Green got the chance to see action against the top high school player in the Philippines in Sotto on Wednesday, and he did not disappoint.
At the 7:28 mark of the second quarter, with FilAm Sports up 26-17, Green received a pass and exploded to the rim. Met by Sotto mid-air, Green threw down a one-handed tomahawk jam that sent the crowd into a frenzy.
