Predicting the 2013 season: Week 8

Last season we began this exercise. Here's how we did last season. Not terrible, but certainly some room for improvement.

We'll move forward again this offseason by making preseason picks for every single game on the Big 12 schedule. By the end of it, you'll see our full projections for each team in the Big 12 in 2013.

More Big 12 predictions for 2013.

Oklahoma State 27, TCU 24: Two of the Big 12's remaining undefeated teams meet in Stillwater, but the Pokes knock the Horned Frogs from the ranks of the unbeaten with a gutsy game from Jeremy Smith. He rushes for 122 yards and two scores, including the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Baylor 47, Iowa State 24: The loss to the Cyclones marked the low point of Baylor's season last year, but no such luck this time around. The Bears are in Waco, and Lache Seastrunk gets a whole lot more than seven carries this time around, like he did last year. ISU's young defense can't keep up with the Bears attack.

West Virginia 41, Texas Tech 37: The Mountaineers get on the board with a big win in Morgantown on the back of their best offensive performance of the season. Jordan Thompson breaks out with 175 receiving yards and 12 catches.

Oklahoma 37, Kansas 27: The Jayhawks play well, but Oklahoma goes on the road and takes control in the second half. Back in his home state, Blake Bell has a career game with three touchdown passes and another on the ground.
