Predicting the 2013 season: Week 14

Last season we began this exercise. Here's how we did last season. Not terrible, but certainly some room for improvement.

We'll move forward again this offseason by making preseason picks for every single game on the Big 12 schedule. By the end of it, you'll see our full projections for each team in the Big 12 in 2013.

More Big 12 predictions for 2013.

Texas Tech 34, Texas 30: The Longhorns haven't been fantastic at home, and the Red Raiders pull a huge upset on Thanksgiving night. Jace Amaro logs double-digit catches and Eric Ward has a pair of touchdown catches to give the Red Raiders some momentum heading into 2014.

TCU 31, Baylor 30: Holding Baylor to 30 points is no small task, and TCU gets a big win to reach 10-2. Devonte Fields and Chucky Hunter help the Frogs win the battle on the line of scrimmage. Throwing off the Bears' timing in the passing game and plugging holes in the running game is the difference here.

West Virginia 38, Iowa State 28: Morgantown plays host to the Mountaineers reaching bowl eligibility in the season finale. The defense struggled early, but Charles Sims caught a touchdown and rushed for two more to put WVU into the postseason.

Kansas State 31, Kansas 17: Keeping state bragging rights means a whole lot to Bill Snyder, a man who loves Manhattan as much as anyone on the planet. The Wildcats keep the Jayhawks at an arm's length all game and deny them a win in Big 12 play.
