The release of Stephen Curry's new sneakers created a buzz on the internet last week to the point that Curry had to defend them after the Golden State Warriors' win in Game 4.

But Curry has someone in his corner when it comes to the shoes: Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll.

Carroll has longed rocked the old-school Nike Air Monarchs. He considered a switch this offseason but ultimately decided to stay with what's been working.

Perhaps when Carroll takes the field for the start of minicamp Tuesday, he'll be sporting the Chef Currys.
