Our countdown of the Pac-12’s Top 25 players from the 2013 season continues.

No. 4: Brandin Cooks, WR, Oregon State
2013 numbers: Cooks caught 128 passes for 1,730 yards with 16 touchdowns. He also rushed for 217 yards and two scores.
Preseason ranking: No. 22
Making the case for Cooks: It isn't too difficult to make the case for Cooks, who won the Biletnikoff Award as the nation's best receiver and would have been a unanimous All-American if the American Football Coaches Association didn't opt to look buffoonish. Cooks led the nation in receiving yards per game and led the Pac-12 and ranked second in the nation with 9.8 receptions per game. His 128 receptions this season set a new Pac-12 record. His 1,730 receiving yards also set a Pac-12 record. His 16 touchdowns ties for third on the conference's single-season list. When the Pac-12's All-Decade or even its All-Time team is made, Cooks will merit consideration. Many years, Cooks would have topped this list, but the next three guys are really, really good, too.
