After punting on their previous drives, LSU finally struck back with less than three minutes left in the first quarter. Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow threw a 52-yard touchdown pass to Ja'Marr Chase to even the score at 7 against Clemson in the College Football Playoff national title game on Monday (watch on ESPN and ESPN App).

It was Burrow's 11th touchdown pass of at least 50 yards this season (most in FBS), while Chase now has the most receiving touchdowns in a single season in SEC history.

Earlier, Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence ran in for a touchdown with 6:41 left in the first quarter to give the Tigers a 7-0 lead against LSU, then blew a kiss to the crowd.
