Relive some of the best moments from the Alabama-Georgia rivalry in the College Football Playoff era. (2:47)

When the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs meet on the gridiron, it's always must-see action.

The two SEC giants have squared off seven times in the past 10 years, deciding three conference titles and two national championships in the process. This Saturday, the Bulldogs will travel to Tuscaloosa for the teams' first regular-season matchup since 2020, and like always, some of the nation's top players will be on display.

The list of NFL players who have played in the matchup over the past decade rivals any other collegiate rivalry -- and that's not even including some of the names watching from the sideline further down the depth charts.

Here are some of the most star-packed previous clashes in recent memory.

Oct. 3, 2015 -- Alabama 38, Georgia 10

Alabama notable names: Derrick Henry, Calvin Ridley, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Marlon Humphrey

Georgia notable names: Nick Chubb

With a final score that proved the widest margin of victory a team has enjoyed in the matchup in the 21st century, it's not surprising the list of future professional standouts in Alabama's lineup outflanked their hosts in Athens.

Four-time Pro Bowl running back Derrick Henry carried the ball 26 times for 148 yards and a score in the rout, and Calvin Ridley caught five passes for 120 yards and a touchdown. Minkah Fitzpatrick totaled four tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass defended, and Marlon Humphrey registered a third-quarter interception.

Current Cleveland Browns star Nick Chubb amassed 146 yards on the ground, 83 of which came on a long score with seconds left in the game.

Jan. 8, 2018 -- Alabama 26, Georgia 23

Alabama notable names: Tua Tagovailoa, Jalen Hurts, Calvin Ridley, Minkah Fitzpatrick

Georgia notable stars: Nick Chubb, Andrew Thomas, Roquan Smith

Nick Saban famously benched current Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts for future Miami Dolphins signal-caller Tua Tagovailoa in a decision that paid major dividends for the Crimson Tide. Tagovailoa threw three touchdown passes, including one to Calvin Ridley and another to DeVonta Smith to win the game. Minkah Fitzpatrick added five tackles -- one for loss -- in the win.

Mecole Hardman added a score on the ground and through the air for the Bulldogs, as Nick Chubb headlined a backfield featuring a number of future NFL stalwarts who totaled 45 carries. Roquan Smith starred for the Georgia defense, posting a game-high 13 total tackles with 2.5 tackles for loss.

Dec. 1, 2018 -- Alabama 35, Georgia 28

Alabama notable names: Tua Tagovailoa, Jalen Hurts, Josh Jacobs, Xavier McKinney, Pat Surtain II, Jaylen Waddle

Georgia notable names: D'Andre Swift, Andrew Thomas

Another Georgia-Alabama showdown, another game where a quarterback switch changed the game for the Tide.

This time it was Hurts who came in for Tagovailoa, who rolled his ankle in the fourth quarter. And just like the previous matchup, the backup helped rally Alabama to a win. Jaylen Waddle caught four passes for 113 yards and a score, and Josh Jacobs paced the Crimson Tide's ground attack with 83 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Quinnen Williams totaled eight tackles, including a sack, and Pat Surtain II and Xavier McKinney added seven and five total tackles, respectively.

D'Andre Swift was the star of the show for the Georgia offense, pairing 75 yards on the ground with 63 through the air -- as well as a rushing and receiving touchdown.

Jan. 10, 2022 -- Georgia 33, Alabama 18

Alabama notable names: Jameson Williams, Brian Robinson Jr., Bryce Young, Will Anderson Jr.

Georgia notable names: James Cook, Brock Bowers, George Pickens, Travon Walker

After seven consecutive defeats to Alabama, including in the conference title game a month earlier, Georgia finally got back in the win column, defeating their SEC foes in the 2021 national championship.

The Bulldogs' vaunted defense won the day, forcing a pair of interceptions -- including a pick-six to seal the result with less than a minute to play -- and holding Alabama's offense to just a single touchdown. Georgia's backfield tandem of James Cook and Zamir White shined, combining for 176 scrimmage yards and a touchdown, while Brock Bowers added a score as well.

Jameson Williams had four catches and 65 yards for the Crimson Tide as Bryce Young finished with 57 passing attempts in the loss.

Dec. 2, 2023 -- Alabama 27, Georgia 24

Alabama notable names: JC Latham, Dallas Turner, Terrion Arnold, Kool-Aid McKinstry, Chris Braswell

Georgia notable names: Brock Bowers, Amarius Mims, Ladd McConkey, Kamari Lassiter, Javon Bullard

The most recent showdown between the two powerhouses saw the result turn back in Alabama's favor, as the Crimson Tide clinched their spot (and knocked Georgia out) of the 2023 College Football Playoff.

Though it's too early in the NFL careers of most of this game's players to determine who will be a hit in the professional ranks, this game certainly offers a number of names to monitor. The schools combined to produce 10 first- or second round picks in the 2024 NFL draft.
