Charming, adorable ... and a bit timid. We photographed him at the photographer's home in Thousand Oaks California. It was all about the swimming pool. He arrived in good spirits, had a bit of breakfast, did some last minute grooming and it was on. I showed him a few poses he should strike while jumping into the pool. Next thing you know he was jumping backwards off the diving board, while shooting the ball and covering his privates. Not an easy task. After many jumps he took a break standing in the shallow end of the pool, legs spread wide as to keep covered. I noticed his energy fading. "Amar'e, I'm going to swim through your legs" I joked. "C'mon" he said. I dove in, swam through and blew a few bubbles on my way. He had a laugh. "That was awesome," he said. "That was for joining the Knicks," I replied. Needless to say I received the most beautiful bouquet of flowers the following week.
