India ended their campaign with a solitary bronze medal in the compound mixed team event at the second stage of the Archery World Cup at the Konyaalti Beach Park in Antalya, Kazakhstan on Saturday.

The Indian pair of 15-year-old Divya Dhayal and Abhishek Verma defeated the Italian duo of Marcella Tonioli and Sergio Pagni 154-153. Dhayal, who was only appearing in her second World Cup, did not show any signs of nerves as the Indian team led by one point after two ends.

The Italians fought back by outscoring the Indians by one point in the third end but the Indian pair won by one point as both the teams scored 39 in the fourth and final end.

In the morning session, the Indian women's compound team of Divya Dhayal, Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Snehal Mandhare lost 222-227 in the bronze medal tie to the Italian trio of Marcella Tonioli, Irene Franchini and Viviana Spano.

The Indian team led by two points at the conclusion of the second end but an 8 and a 7 in the third end ended up costing them as they only scored 54 in the third end. Italy scored 58 and 59 in the third and fourth end to win by five points.

The men's compound team of Abhishek Verma, Chinna Raju Srither and Gurwinder Singh finished fourth after losing the bronze medal playoff by one point against France, losing 227-228. The Indian team had previously won Gold in the same event at the first stage of the World Cup in Shanghai in May.
