SPIELBERG, Austria -- Ferrari has spent a single power unit token ahead of this weekend's Austrian Grand Prix.

It is believed the token was spent on the power unit's MGU-K, which recovers energy from the rear wheels under braking and deploys power under acceleration. New versions of the MGU-K were fitted to both cars ahead of first practice at the Red Bull Ring as well as new internal combustion engines.

The update leaves Ferrari with three remaining tokens after spending 29 so far this year. By contrast, Mercedes has 11 tokens remaining, Honda has 12 and Renault has 21.
