Transfer Rater: Michael Keane to Everton, Theo Walcott to West Ham

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers for the summer. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest rumours.

Kostas Manolas to Zenit St Petersburg

Previously a Chelsea and Arsenal target, Roma's Manolas looks set to move to Zenit. The Greek defender is ready to undergo a medical on Wednesday ahead of a €35 million switch. According to Sky Sports Italia and Mediaset Premium, Roma and Zenit have worked out all details and the centre-back will be tested in Rome's Villa Stuart clinic. The 26-year-old played 45 games in all competitions for the capital club last season.

Jay Rodriguez to West Brom

West Brom are confident of sealing a £14m move that would see striker Rodriguez join from Southampton. The former Burnley forward scored just six goals in 35 appearances last term but he is keen to link up with Tony Pulis at the Hawthorns. The Baggies boss has tried to sign the 27-year-old twice in the past but Saints blocked the move. Now, new Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino doesn't want to stand in Rodriguez's way.

Michael Keane to Everton

Manchester United target Keane could complete a £25m move to Everton in the next few days, according to The Sun. Ronald Koeman's side are happy to match Burnley's asking price after the England international made it known he wanted to leave Turf Moor this summer. The 24-year-old left Old Trafford in 2015 for just over £2m and had been linked with a return to his hometown club. Out of contract in 2018, Burnley want to do a deal this summer so not to lose the centre-back for free in 12 months' time.

Theo Walcott to West Ham

Walcott scored 19 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions last season. However, with Arsene Wenger's change to a 3-4-1-2 formation, the England forward was pushed out of the starting lineup. Despite finishing as the club's second top scorer, Arsenal's revamp could see the former Southampton man leave the Emirates. According to the Daily Star, West Ham are willing to pay around £50m for both Walcott and his French teammate Olivier Giroud. Any departure will depend on Wenger's ability to bring replacements to the club with Alexandre Lacazette and Kylian Mbappe known Arsenal transfer targets.

Nampalys Mendy to Bordeaux

After winning the Premier League title, Leicester City sold N'Golo Kante to Chelsea and brought in Nampalys Mendy as a replacement from Nice. After just four Premier League appearances, the move has not worked out for the 25-year-old. An ankle injury hampered his campaign but that hasn't stopped him being linked with a return to Ligue 1. Nantes are keen but the player favours a move to Bordeaux. "I heard about the interest of Nantes but neither me nor my adviser have been contacted," Mendy told L'Equipe. "Anyway, since my adviser talked to me about the possibility of joining Bordeaux, I'm set on it. It's even an obsession."
