Tottenham's Ryan Mason on radar of Hull City, says Steve Bruce

Hull City manager Steve Bruce says he is interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason this summer.

Mason slipped behind Dele Alli, Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele in Spurs' pecking order last season and he made just eight league starts in an injury-hit campaign.

Spurs' signing of Victor Wanyama in an £11 million deal from Southampton has further blocked Mason's path to the first team, but he said in June he had no thoughts about leaving White Hart Lane, amid reports linking him with Bournemouth and Crystal Palace.

Bruce said in a lengthy interview with the BBC that he is desperate to bolster the Tigers' depleted squad after promotion to the Premier League.

He revealed that he is hoping to sign Bordeaux's Lamine Sane and Wales Euro 2016 hero -- and free agent -- Hal Robson-Kanu.

And he said Mason would be of interest, if Spurs agree to sell the 24-year-old.

"I don't know if he's available but if he did become available, he's the sort of player who would interest us," Bruce said

"Again, for me, it's always difficult to talk about other players in contact because I've had no communication with Spurs at all.

"If he's available, and we can afford him, then I like Ryan Mason. He's the type of player who would do us great."
