Islam Feruz becomes Chelsea's 31st loanee after Hibernian move

Islam Feruz has become the 31st player to have been loaned out by Chelsea this summer after the striker signed for Hibernian until the end of the season.

The Blues have shipped out the likes of Juan Cuadrado and Mohamed Salah -- to Juventus and Roma respectively -- on temporary deals, and Feruz, 20, becomes the latest player to join the lengthy list of loanees.

"I am excited to be coming back to Scotland and get some first team football under my belt," Feruz, a Scotland under-21 international, told Hibs' official website.

"Hibs have a good young team and I've played with a number of the boys before with the national team.

"The manager has shown faith me and I'm looking forward to repaying it by giving 100 percent when I'm selected."

Hibs head coach Alan Stubbs added: "We would like to thank Chelsea for allowing Islam to join us on loan, and we're looking forward to helping him realise his undoubted potential."
