CARSON, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy have signed veteran midfielder Jeff Larentowicz and added former captain Peter Vagenas to their front office.
The Galaxy announced the moves Wednesday.

Larentowicz has spent 11 seasons in MLS with New England, Colorado and Chicago, getting 37 goals and 18 assists. He won the MLS Cup with the Rapids and was the Fire's captain for three years.
Vagenas is the Galaxy's new vice president of soccer operations after serving as the director of the successful LA Galaxy Academy since 2013. He will work in an expanded role under general manager Bruce Arena, overseeing several areas of the Galaxy's soccer operations.
Vagenas played nine of his 13 MLS seasons with the Galaxy, winning the MLS Cup in 2002 and 2005.
