Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign FC Zurich star Nishan Burkart in the summer, according to the player's father.
Burkart, 16, has been linked with Chelsea and Arsenal but has chosen to sign for United at the end of the season.
"We have decided to leave the club in the summer," his father Stefan told Swiss outlet Blick. "Nishan switches to Manchester United. He just has different ideas, that's what business is like.
"We would have liked a more dignified exit. It makes us feel as though we've offended someone. But he doesn't suffer any more. He is looking forward to Manchester United."
FC Zurich's president, Ancilo Canepa, also confirmed the news and insisted that the club would not be using the striker for the rest of the campaign.
"Nishan Burkart's family have decided to move him to Manchester United," he added. "Therefore we have decided not to use the player. We are concerned with planning the squad for next season. We want to make a place available to a player who will play here next season."
