Adelaide United defender Iacopo La Rocca realises that he is the key man to the club's hopes in the A-League, as he prepares to face Melbourne City's mercurial striker Bruno Fornaroli in Friday night's semifinal.
He did the job last time, keeping him goalless. But fair to say La Rocca is on high alert for the slippery Uruguayan in the sold-out Coopers Stadium in Adelaide.
"He's a smart striker," La Rocca told reporters on Thursday.
"He's strong. You saw the last two goals he scored in the quarter-final, they were unbelievable.
"He really can do something special."
La Rocca said he would be summoning fellow defenders Dylan McGowan and Michael Marrone to help cover Fornaroli.
"We have to stick together and try to stop him like we did the last game," he said.
"You have to be on the game for 90 minutes and more. Last game he didn't do much but he can create something, not just him, Aaron Mooy as well."
