Hull City complete signing of AFC Wimbledon goalkeeper Will Mannion

Hull City have signed highly-rated goalkeeper Will Mannion from AFC Wimbledon.

A source told ESPN FC last month that Hull were closing in on a move to sign Mannion, 18, amid interest from Liverpool and Stoke.

And the Tigers have now confirmed that the keeper has signed a three-year deal with the Premier League club, with an option for an extra year, while a compensation fee is to be agreed by a tribunal.

"I'm really excited to get the contract signed and I can't wait to get started now," Mannion told Hull's official website.

"After meeting with [manager] Steve Bruce and [goalkeeping coach] Gary Walsh it made my mind up that this was the club I wanted to sign for -- the decision was a fairly simple one for me.

"I'm delighted to start the next chapter of my career at this club and I'm looking to get involved with the lads as quickly as possible."

Mannion was part of an England under-18 training camp last season after impressing at Wimbledon and is expected to be part of Hull's under-21 squad for the upcoming campaign.
